Everything you need to know about MI MIX FOLD, Xiaomi’s first foldable smartphone

Xiaomi has launched its first foldable smartphone, Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold, the largest foldable display on any smartphone to date. The Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold was announced in China on March 30, 2021, and will be released on April 16 in China.

Dimensions: 173.3 x 133.4 x 7.6 mm while unfolded and 173.3 x 69.8 x 17.2 mm while folded.

Display:

8.01” foldable smartphone display: the largest in the industry to date. The weight is reduced by up to 27% compared to other foldable phones. The device underwent 200,000 bends in reliability testing and up to 1 million bends in extreme reliability testing. It is with a flexible 8.01” WQHD+ resolution OLED display, Mi MIX Fold offers an ultra-large 4:3 aspect ratio.

Battery:

5,020mAh folding screen largest battery, 100% charged in 37 minutes. Mi MIX FOLD has a built-in 5,020mAh battery which uses Xiaomi’s patented new dual-battery parallel architecture consists of two batteries with a capacity of 2,460mAh and 2,560mAh. Mi MIX FOLD also supports 67W fast charging.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold has a top-end Snapdragon 888 chipset and either 12GB or 16GB of RAM. it comes with either 256GB or 512GB of storage, but no microSD card slot. It supports 5G, and it runs Android 10 overlaid with Xiaomi’s MIUI 12. World’s first smartphone with quad speakers, sound by Harman Kardon.

There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and four speakers. However, as with most flagships, there’s no 3.5mm headphone port.
